Henderson Shines Community Cleanup
Henderson Shines is an annual community cleanup and recycling event where residents can responsibly dispose of household hazardous materials like paint, oil, and batteries, as well as donate or recycle other items. Last year, over 60 cubic yards of paint, 30 cubic yards of oil, and 1,000 pounds of e-waste were collected. The event will take place on Galleria Drive, with cars entering from Patrick Lane. It will end at 1 p.m. or when capacity is reached, so arriving early is recommended. Accepted items include household goods (Goodwill), gently used books (Spread the Word Nevada), e-waste (Blind Center of Nevada), and non-perishable food (Salvation Army). Paper shredding is drop-off only (limit of four banker boxes). Paint, oil, and batteries will be accepted following hazardous waste guidelines. Tires will not be accepted. Arrive early to participate and help keep Henderson clean!

On Saturday, April 19, Town Square Las Vegas hosts a free all-day Easter event featuring rides, entertainment, concessions, and visits from the Easter Bunny, with the highlight being Easter egg hunts for children ages 1–9 from 10am to 5pm. The egg hunts are divided into three age groups (1–3, 4–6, and 7–9) with multiple time slots throughout the day, and registration is required onsite in front of Wassa Boutique near the Yard House round-about. Pure Aloha Spring Festival & Concerts - Day 4
The Pure Aloha Festival & Concert in Las Vegas is a four-day celebration of Hawaiian and Pacific Islander culture, featuring food, retail vendors, carnival rides, cultural performances, and live music. This annual event takes place at the Desert Breeze Events Center, with the 2025 dates scheduled for Thursday, April 17th through Sunday, April 20th. Event hours are as follows: Thursday (5 PM - 10 PM), Friday (5 PM - 11 PM), Saturday (1 PM - 11 PM), and Sunday (1 PM - 10 PM). Tour de Summerlin
Tour de Summerlin offers three different ride distances (20, 40, 80 mile) for your enjoyment. Whether you’re a hard core rider or just enjoy getting out on the bike, each bike route offers plenty of bike lanes, beautiful scenery and unique riding experiences. Online registration is now open. Participants 15 and under must be accompanied on the 20-mile ride by a parent or guardian. eBikes (electric bikes are allowed). All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt and medal. STEAM Family Fest
The STEAM Family Fest on April 26, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, is a fun and educational event hosted by The Neon Museum. This family-friendly festival offers hands-on activities and demonstrations designed to promote creative thinking and problem-solving through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning. The theme for this event is Architecture & Design, and local organizations and artists will be leading various activities reflecting Las Vegas's unique culture.
