Third Annual Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz
The city of Las Vegas invites the community to the Third Annual Parks for Pollinators: BioBlitz on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. This national event, part of a campaign led by the National Recreation and Park Association and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation, encourages participants to document local pollinator species using the iNaturalist app. Visitors can enjoy exhibits, STEAM activities, food trucks, and games like BioBlitz Bingo while learning about biodiversity from partners such as the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum and Nevada Department of Wildlife. Head up to Lee Canyon on September 20 for another round of Music on the Mountain, a free, all-ages summer concert series set in the cooler mountain air, about 30–40 degrees below Las Vegas temperatures. Gates open at 9:00 AM, with live music from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the outdoor stage at Rabbit Peak. This round features Ashley Red, a high-energy alternative dance-rock band known for performing with major acts like Bon Jovi and Matchbox 20, and for headlining festivals and events across the West. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for comfort, but outside alcohol and coolers are not permitted. Parking is free, and food and drink will be available for purchase. Arrive early for the best spots, and note that small personal shade umbrellas are allowed, but EZ-up tents are not.

Sprinkle Dash Kids Color Run
Get ready to run wild with a splash of color at the Sprinkle Dash Kids Color Run at O'Callaghan Park on Saturday, September 27, 2025! This fun-filled event will have kids racing through four vibrant color stations, getting covered head to toe in a rainbow of colors. After the run, the celebration continues with a lively dance party, bounce houses, and victory cupcakes at the finish line! Children will run different distances based on age, with kids ages 2-5 completing one lap (0.25 miles), ages 6-8 completing two laps (0.50 miles), and ages 9-12 completing four laps (1 mile). A parent companion is permitted to run alongside children ages 5 and under. The event takes place at O’Callaghan Park, located at 601 Skyline Rd. To make the colors pop, participants are encouraged to wear white clothing, comfortable tennis shoes (preferably old ones), and bring plenty of water. Sunscreen is also recommended to stay protected while having fun in the sun. Registration fees start at $15 through September 27, with a $20 fee for day-of registration. Doggie Paddle & Play Day

Narcan at Night is a large community-driven event focused on distributing free overdose prevention and response kits throughout the Las Vegas Strip, Downtown, and nearby areas on Saturday, September 27th at 5 PM. Volunteers, both experienced and new to harm reduction, play a vital role by educating others on how to respond to overdoses, potentially saving lives. The event promises an energizing and meaningful experience, with volunteers meeting at Shine A Light Headquarters before heading out in teams. Participants must be trained in overdose response beforehand, all ages are welcome, and attendees should prepare for warm weather and walking by dressing appropriately and bringing a bag for kits. Shirts are provided for those who register with sizes in advance, with extras available on a first-come basis.
